Community Inclusion.

Community Inclusion involves a group of 5 to 10 participants exploring the community with support staff to engage in a wide variety of activities. Together we get up to all sorts of adventures, including Whale Watching, going for walks in National Parks, seeing the latest movies, playing sports, visiting the shops and much much more

Communication Skills.

Everyday we run a variety of programs to maintain and improve the communication skills of all of our participants at SWARA. These activities include interactive games, Auslan classes, women\'s and men\'s groups and participant meetings.

Creative Art.

Participants are able to engage in a wide variety of activities including, drawing, painting, knitting, beading and craft work, enabling them to learn new skills and techniques while expressing their creative flair and talents.

Daily Living Skills.

Participants at SWARA are able to engage in a range of activities to enhance skills that enable them to improve their lives. In addition to the daily activities on offer through NDIS, participants are able to work 1:1 with support workers for more focused and tailored support to help them achieve their goals.

Exercise & Sport.

Multiple areas are available at SWARA for participants to engage in activities that promote physical exercise as well as improved fine motor coordination skills. SWARA has a key focus in promoting these skills in a fun and supportive environment. Activities include pool, yoga, basketball, table tennis and cricket. We also periodically combine physical activities with Community Inclusion trips such as going for walks in national parks, sailing, horse riding, and going swimming.

Learning Centre.

SWARA is fortunate enough to have the Learning Centre where participants are able to develop their literacy, numeracy and computer skills.

Performing Arts.

Performing in front of peers and public audiences enables participants to build their confidence while exploring their own unique and individual personalities.
