Janine Painter's Occupational Therapy Services has offices in the Sutherland Shire and Lower North Shore of Sydney. The team work with children from birth through to students in Year 12.
They support clients who experience difficulties ranging from minimal co-ordination difficulties to specific difficulties associated with a variety of conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, attention deficit disorders, developmental delays, hypermobility, neurological conditions and specific syndromes.
Janine Painter's Occupational Therapy Services provide assessments and therapy to help clients develop skills in many areas including:
- Play skills and milestone development.
- Fine motor skills including drawing, scissor skills.
- Handwriting and pencil grip.
- Gross motor skills like balance and ball skills.
- Pre-academic skills, school and high school readiness.
- Self care skills like tying shoelaces.
- Visual perceptual learning skills, including reversals and memory.
- Sensory development (EG: oversensitivity to clothing).
- Attention, concentration and organisational skills.
- Assessments: A comprehensive assessment of your child’s current skills helps to plan the most effective therapy for your child.
- Individual Therapy Sessions: Individual therapy sessions are offered, and parents and caregivers are provided with strategies to practice at home to maximise your child’s learning.
- Group Sessions Handwriting and school readiness groups are offered at the Miranda office.
- Telehealth Services Sessions via video telehealth are also offered for therapy sessions and parent coaching consultations.
- Community Consultations Preschool and school consultations can be organised to co-ordinate therapy with your child’s teacher.
