There are changes taking place within the NDIS. These include a new computer system (called PACE), some new processes and additional NDIS support categories.

The new PACE system is already rolling out to people getting their first NDIS Plan. Existing participants will move to the new system at the time of your next plan reassessment.

Getting a plan manager when you are on the NDIS PACE system.

If your NDIS plan is on the new PACE system there is a new way of choosing a plan manager.

You must now endorse your chosen plan manager, which simply means you need to tell your NDIS contact (local area coordinator/early childhood partner) or NDIA planner who you are choosing to manage your plan.

How to endorse a plan manager on PACE.

If you have a plan manager, you’ll need to endorse them so they can connect with your plan on the PACE system. This can be done in one of the following ways:

  • At an NDIS plan or plan reassessment meeting
  • Any time, between plans.

If your NDIS Plan is on the new PACE system and you’re already a Leap in! plan managed member, you can simply call the NDIS on 1800 800 110 and ask them to endorse Leap in! as your plan manager – it’s that easy!

A nominee or guardian can also contact the NDIA directly to endorse Leap in! as a plan manager.

Can I switch to Leap in! plan management?

Yes, it’s easy to change to Leap in! plan management. Here’s what you do:

  1. Check the notice period you need to provide to your current plan manager
  2. Notify your current plan manager that you wish to cease services with them and ask them to confirm what date your service bookings will be released
  3. Sign up with Leap in! over the phone or complete our online form
  4. Contact your Local Area Coordinator, planner or the NDIA to tell them you would like to endorse Leap in! as your plan manager.

Top tips:

  • You don’t need to wait until your exit period has finished to sign up with Leap in!
  • Signing up early means you will have a seamless transition to us and maintain continuity of provider payments
  • You can change to Leap in! midway through your plan – you don’t have to wait.

Endorsing other providers in PACE plans.

You can choose to endorse any provider, such as support coordinator, to give them access to certain NDIS-related information about you.

This can be done at an NDIS plan or plan reassessment meeting. It can also be done at any time, between plans.

  • Agency managed participants are required to endorse the providers they want to work with in order to access funding for relevant services
  • Plan managed participants must endorse their plan manager but it is optional to endorse their other providers. Plan Managers will not be able to access funding from your plan or to pay other providers until they are endorsed
  • It is optional for self managed participants to record providers for their supports under My providers.
