Kickstart your career with a paid internship.

Here at Leap in! we are passionate about initiatives that create meaningful employment and career pathways for people with a disability.

So today we’re sharing a fantastic paid internship opportunity for university students who identify as having a disability.

Applications are now open for the Stepping Into Summer paid internship program. Read on for all the details, including how to apply!

Stepping Into Summer paid internship program.

The Stepping Into Summer program, an Australian Network on Disability (AND) initiative, matches talented university students with a disability to roles in leading Australian businesses.

More than 200 internships are available across capital cities and regional areas. The types of projects, start dates and length of the internships vary depending on the organisation.

The internships are diverse and exciting. Picture yourself interning in special projects at Triple J? How about as a Business Analyst at BHP? Or even a playground visitor host at the Australian Museum?

Even better, the internships are paid, including superannuation. Employers pay a pro-rata salary based on the duties performed and abiding by Fair Work standards.
