You can be sure that at Mima Counselling Services & Equine Therapy you will receive Safe, Creative, Respectful & Confidential care from the very experienced and professional team of practitioners. The Mima aim is to help others ‘Reconnect with Hope’ and their ability to thrive.

Counselling for children and teenagers is different from adult counselling. In particular children need ways other than just words to express and explore what is troubling them and to help learn and practice new ideas and skills. This is why art, play, drumming and other creative expressive and play therapies are used to engage and work with children. Mima Counselling can assist children & teenagers with the following:

  • Social & Emotional difficulties
  • Childhood Trauma
  • Big Life Changes

Counselling for families looks different for each family. A family is a living system that changes over time and sometimes families need some extra help with the very real ‘everyday challenges’ and stresses of parenting. Other families may be experiencing more significant struggles. Mima Counselling practitioners are trained in a range of therapies and can select the best approach to fit your family. Therapeutic counselling to parents or whole families is available, and the team are particularly keen to involve Dads in the counselling process.

Counselling for Adults is where Mima Counselling Services is particularly interested in helping Individual Adults and Couples to find their way, thrive, help connect to your strengths and reconnect to hope, so you can ‘bounce forward’ towards re-generation and greater resilience.
